There are so many times when I’m redecorating or wanting a new item and I just don’t have time to go out and search everywhere. That’s why I just love this new “buy online, pick up in store” program Kirkland’s stores are offering. All you have to do is scroll through their website here http://www.kirklands.com/category/Misc/Buy-Online-Pick-Up-In-Store/pc/2343/3228.uts?icid=swbanner_180924_bopis_Y , then click on the zip code of the store nearest you. Kitchens are in my opinion the most important room in the house. Most of the household “workings” take place in there and its the hub of the family. It’s always the place, no matter how fabulous the rest of the house is, that everyone gathers at a party. So why not make it functional and pretty? It is also one of the spaces in your home that will add value if updated. BUT what if you don’t have a budget to get your dream kitchen, total bummer right?! Well, not necessarily….

Happy almost fall friends! As I type this on Labor Day it’s really hard to believe that summer is technically over (although the Texas heat thinks otherwise!) Do you have an outdated fireplace or one that you just don’t love?….Well, I had one of those and over the past year it had at least 3 makeovers until I finally grabbed my vision and made it a reality. The fireplace is usually in the heart of the home where family and friends gather, so it ends up being the focal point in the room. So, why not make it fabulous? Come along as I share the many transformations and how we ended up with the final winner….
I love entertaining and making my guests feel comfortable & welcome. Adding special touches, even in a small way is a great opportunity to show appreciation for your guests and make them feel special. I had a girls weekend planned and wanted to do a fun and more intimate dinner where we could relax and catch up. But I also didn’t want to be in the kitchen worrying about it all why they were visiting. This simple party lets you do things ahead of time you can fully enjoy your guests.
I love celebrating the 4th of July, how about you? If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you’ll know that I really love to do tablescapes and share ideas with y’all. Some of our fondest memories are of our times celebrating the 4th at the lake. I love doing a festive table and decor knowing our family and friends look forward to the traditions we celebrate every year. So, I wanted to share a few fun & simple ideas that you can incorporate into your celebrations….
Creating a Father’s day table that isn’t too frilly or girly can be a challenge. So, I’m sharing a simple set up that any dad will love. This table setting is so inexpensive and really cost next to nothing since I used items I already had from our home. I’ve also included a fun napkin fold demo to add that special touch for dad.
